Alex Cohen is a Brooklyn-based photographer and recent alumna of the Photography and Imaging program at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, with a minor in Social and Cultural Analysis in NYU’s College of Arts and Science. She currently serves as Programming Director at Artists Talk on Art, where she leads curatorial strategy and program development for weekly public programming. In this role, she oversees event logistics and cross-team coordination, manages artist communications and technical execution, and directs audience engagement and communications strategy, including designing newsletter content for a subscriber base of over 3,000 while aligning programming with long-term organizational goals.

During her time at NYU, Alex served on the Program Board’s Media and Marketing Committee and was named to the Tisch School of the Arts Dean’s List throughout her academic career. She has also been involved in civic and community-based initiatives, including work with the Dallas Youth Commission on a public mural project for the City of Dallas, and nearly six years of service with the Mockingbird Chapter of the National Charity League.

Alex’s creative practice centers on interpersonal relationships and modes of self-expression. She is particularly interested in how photography intersects with film, music, and social context.
